Hang on!

I don’t generally feel compelled to write something, but did feel compelled to write this today.  So if you’re reading this and thinking that someone wrote it just for you, well I did.

Do you ever wake up wondering when it’s going to be your turn?

When is someone going to notice me?

When are things going to go MY way?

Yeah, me too.

I don’t have huge words of wisdom for you. Despite having what most people would consider a dream life, I still feel sometimes like no one really gets me or that my dreams are so far away (or just as far away as last January at least).

Who can I quote that will inspire you?

Kipling?

“If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’”

Counting Crows?

“The smell of hospitals in winter
And the feeling that it’s all a lot of oysters, but no pearls
All at once you look across a crowded room
To see the way that light attaches to a girl”

Yes … hope … even when death comes in winter.

Lenka?

“I’m just a little girl lost in the moment
I’m so scared but I don’t show it
I can’t figure it out
It’s bringing me down I know
I’ve got to let it go
And just enjoy the show”

Please come and enjoy this show called life … it’s fun and even if it’s not going your way right now, stop and take a look around.  There’s a lot of good out there.

God?

“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning;”

This is the one you can count on the most.

But sometimes we need people with skin on … or at least to know that at the other end of the internet is someone who, at least for a moment, felt the way that we are feeling today.

Life is not hopeless.  There are plenty of people waiting to be a part of your life.

We’re here so hang on.
